A neighbourhood épicerie in Morocco sells hundreds of small items a day, gives credit to the customers it knows, and cannot stop when the internet does. Can I keep my customers' credit on the till?
Yes, on Pro. Each customer can have an account with purchase history and a running balance. Sales on credit add to it, payments reduce it, and you can see who owes what at any time, on any day, without a notebook.
Do I need a barcode on every product?
No. Scan what has a barcode with a USB or Bluetooth scanner, and pick loose or unlabelled items like bread and eggs straight from the catalogue on screen. Both go into the same sale.
What about stock that expires or breaks?
Write it off from the till. Damaged or lost items are logged and deducted from stock without touching the day's sales, so your count stays true and you can see what you are losing.
