Service status

Last updated: 26 July 2026

How PosSwift behaves when something goes wrong on our side, and how we tell you about it.

What actually depends on us

This is the important part: selling does not. The till is designed so that an outage on our infrastructure cannot stop you taking money.

FunctionNeeds our servers?
Ringing up a saleNo
Printing a receiptNo
Scanning a barcodeNo
Stock movements and ledger writesNo
Reports on local dataNo
Starting the 14-day trialYes, on first launch
Activating or renewing a licenceYes
This websiteYes

If our services are down

An already-activated installation keeps working normally. Licence checks are designed to tolerate our servers being unreachable — the application does not lock you out because it briefly cannot phone home.

What is affected during an outage is first-time trial activation, licence changes, and this website.

How we communicate incidents

  • We monitor our services continuously and are usually aware of a problem before it is reported.
  • For anything affecting activation or billing, we email affected customers directly.
  • For a significant or extended incident, we publish a short write-up afterwards explaining what happened and what we changed.
  • You can always reach a human at Contact@PosSwift.com.

A live, automatically updated status dashboard is on our roadmap but is not published yet. Until it is, this page and email are how we keep you informed — we would rather say that than point you at a page that does not exist.

Reporting a problem

Email Contact@PosSwift.com. Telling us what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead gets you a useful answer far faster than a description of the symptom alone. If the till itself is misbehaving, note whether it was online or offline at the time.
