A café till that keeps up with the rush
A Moroccan café runs on speed at the counter and on a connection it cannot count on. PosSwift is a point-of-sale app built for exactly that. An order for an atay, a croissant and a sandwich rings up in seconds, prints on a 58 or 80 mm thermal printer, and keeps going through wifi outages of up to two weeks, with every sale queued and replayed in order once the line comes back. When a customer orders and then wants to add something, Hold Sale parks the order so the next person can be served. Each member of staff signs in with their own PIN, and voids, returns and discounts need authorisation, so every change to a sale leaves a record. Close Day totals the shift, Expenses logs the milk bought that morning, and low-stock alerts flag the coffee before it runs out. It works in English, French or Arabic, on an Android tablet or a Windows PC.
Customer accounts and credit, supplier tools, the audit trail and staff accounts are part of Pro. Every install starts with 14 days of Pro, free.
Can more than one person work the till?
Yes, on Pro. It includes three staff accounts on one till, the owner plus two, each signing in with their own PIN so you can see who rang up what. Pro also adds the audit trail, so every void and discount is logged. Basic is the owner alone. A second till means a second device and a second subscription.
What happens to orders when the wifi drops mid-rush?
Nothing you would notice at the counter. PosSwift keeps selling, printing and recording payments offline for up to two weeks. Everything is saved on the device itself, so nothing waits for the connection.
Can a customer order now and add to it later?
Hold Sale sets an order aside without losing it, so you can serve the next customer and come back to it. When they want another coffee, reopen the held order and add to it.
Can I track milk, coffee and pastry stock?
Inventory updates with every sale and warns you when an item runs low. Anything spilled, broken or thrown out can be written off from the till, logged and deducted, so your stock count stays honest without a separate spreadsheet.
