About PosSwift

PosSwift is a point-of-sale system for independent retailers who cannot afford for the till to stop working when the internet does.
Why we built it
Most modern point-of-sale software assumes a permanent, fast internet connection. That assumption is comfortable in a head office and wrong in a lot of real shops — a dropped connection, a router reboot, a bad afternoon on the local network, and suddenly a shopkeeper cannot take money.
We built PosSwift the other way round. The till is the source of truth. It sells, prints, scans, and writes to the ledger with no network at all. Connectivity is treated as a bonus, not a dependency.
What we hold to
- Offline is the default, not a degraded mode. Every core function works with the network unplugged.
- Your data belongs to you and lives on your device. We do not hold a copy and we do not want one.
- We do not advertise features we have not shipped. If it is on the site, it exists today.
- Pricing is per till and published. No quote-to-find-out for the standard plans.
- Small footprint. The software should run on affordable hardware, not force a hardware upgrade.
Who it is for
Grocers, cafés, pharmacies, clothing and textile shops, and service counters — businesses running one till or a handful, where the owner is often the person at the counter.
We started with these trades because their requirements are strict and unglamorous: fast checkout, reliable printing, barcode scanning that works first time, and stock counts that survive a power cut. Software that satisfies them tends to satisfy everyone else.
Where we operate
PosSwift is sold internationally. The interface ships in English, French, and Arabic, and the product is built to work on ordinary Android tablets and Windows machines anywhere.
